| 1973 Stag Project | 6000.00 | Jeff Rosen | Spokane, WA | 8/16/2026 6:40:22 PM |
| 1973 Triumph Stag 3speed automatic Project. Runs and Drives. Rust Free, 44, 000 miles showing, Original boat anchor engine was swapped at some time with a Ford Cologne with siamesed exhaust ports. Probably 1968–1977 (2.8L/2.9L). I am assuming the original Borg Warner 35 transmission is installed.. These engines are known to have leaky valve guide seals when they have sat for a while. This car has sat for a while. This car would make a great project and would be well worth what was put into it. |

| Stag Engine parts | $1234 | Glenn Merrell | Lafayette, CO | 8/6/2026 12:33:55 PM |
| All,
I am clearing out my various stocks of rebuildable / useable engine parts.
*** This is not a you-buy and you are stuck. The Stag engine is the beating heart of your Stag. Properly building a Stag engine requires a full foundational understanding of the mistakes, pitfalls, factory issues and how to avoid or solve them, both for you AND your engine builder. I am here to help you specify the Stag engine build so you or your engine builder do it only once for you in your lifetime. ***
*** Note I said "rebuildable", which means: depending on the skill of your engine shop and the quality of their equipment, the rebuildable cost will vary significantly from dreaded mechanic/machinist to full race build specification correcting all known Stag engine problems. I prefer the latter process for the best reliability, but you do what you think is best for you I recommend: be informed, understand what it takes to properly rebuild any Triumph Stag 2997 cc OHC V8 correctly, and verify the steps were completed properly.
So we will start with a discussion about precision cleaning, precision measuring your block and then bulletproofing the crankshaft correctly, then move up.

I purchased a 1971 Stag with hard top in 1982 with the intention of restoring it, but the project got put on hold after my marriage in 1985. It has since been stored in the garage.
In 2021 I bought a 1973 Stag with the goal of getting it on the road using parts from my 1971 Stag, however I'm now 77 years of age and have grown too old to finish the project. I wish to sell both cars.
The 1971 is Saffron and has some rust. No engine but it’s otherwise complete and will make a good parts car. I'm asking $4,000.

The 1973 is Blue with black interior, has the Triumph V8, Borg-Warner automatic transmission, and the factory hard top. It's not running at the moment but it's in very good condition. Asking price is $9,000.

Prices are negotiable, so let's talk.
Both cars are located in Philadelphia. For more information and photos, please contact Moses Williams at moses.lee.williams@gmail.com.
